Maybe it’s the sound of the waves gently lapping the shore.
Maybe it’s the fire-red sunsets painting the lake in gold and coral… or the mix of sunscreen, campfire smoke, and lake breeze that clung to us all summer long.
So many memories tied to the shoreline bring me right back — because for me, the beach isn’t just a place.
It’s where my story began.
I grew up in Grand Haven, Michigan — a small lakeside town with a big heart. My twin sister and I spent entire weekends coated in sand, playing beach volleyball until the sun dipped below the horizon. The gritty feel of sand clinging to sun-screened legs, the sound of serves and laughter echoing across the shoreline, that was our rhythm.
We fished on the lake with our family.
Walked the pier in sweatshirts over swimsuits.
And ran to the beach the moment the weather hit 60, just to dip our toes in and pretend summer had already arrived.
The beach wasn’t where we rested, it was where we moved, where we grew, where we learned to dream.
And now, all these years later, those memories are woven into something I’ve held in my heart for a long time, a collection that captures where I came from, what grounds me, and how far we’ve come.
Introducing Shoreline Stories
Shoreline Stories is a jewelry collection created alongside my sister — a piece of our childhood, wrapped around your wrist. Each design features beach-inspired textures and materials, including:
- Gemstones that reflect the colors of the coast
- Sea glass and Mother of Pearl that shimmer like tide-washed treasures
- And most meaningfully, polymer clay beads mixed and coated with real sand from Grand Haven, MI
Every piece is designed to reflect movement, calm, and connection — a blend of color and texture that echoes the moments that matter most.

I’ve never been someone who lounges on the beach.
But I could sit for hours listening to the waves crash, watching storms roll in across the water, and breathing in the peace that only a lakeshore can bring.
Shoreline Stories is about those moments — the ones that anchor you, that take you back, that help you move forward.
And this time, it’s about something even more meaningful:
I partnered with my twin sister — my best friend — to bring this collection to life.
She still lives in Grand Haven, and she’s the one who created the custom polymer clay beads mixed and coated with real Grand Haven beach sand. Every one of those beads was handmade by her hands, on the same shoreline where we grew up together.
