Some businesses start with a business plan. Mine started with a season of life I wasn't sure I would make it through.

When people ask how The Always Busy Mama began, they often assume it started with a love of jewelry.

The truth is, it started with healing.

After becoming a mom, I experienced something many women experience but few openly talk about: postpartum depression. From the outside, everything looked fine. I had a beautiful family, a healthy baby, and all the things I thought were supposed to make me feel happy.

But internally, I was struggling.

Motherhood is beautiful, but it can also be incredibly overwhelming. There are moments of joy, but there can also be moments of isolation, anxiety, guilt, sadness, and feeling like you've somehow lost pieces of yourself in the process of caring for everyone else.

For a long time, I thought I was supposed to just push through it.

I thought I was supposed to be grateful and strong and capable all the time.

What I eventually learned is that asking for help is a form of strength, too.

As part of my healing journey, my therapist encouraged me to find something that was just for me. Something creative. Something that would allow me to slow down and focus on a single task instead of carrying the weight of everything at once.

That's how jewelry making entered my life.

What started as a therapeutic outlet slowly became something much bigger.

It became a creative practice.

It became a way to reconnect with myself.

It became a reminder that even in difficult seasons, growth is possible.

And eventually, it became The Always Busy Mama.

Every piece I create today is rooted in the belief that women deserve reminders of their strength, their resilience, and the moments that matter most. That's why meaningful jewelry has always been at the heart of this business.

But as the business has grown, I've continued asking myself an important question:

How can this business support other women who may be walking through similar seasons?

The answer felt obvious.

Postpartum Support International.

For decades, Postpartum Support International has worked to connect mothers and families with education, resources, support groups, and professional help for perinatal mental health challenges. Their mission is simple but powerful: no parent should have to navigate these struggles alone.

The reality is that postpartum depression, anxiety, and other maternal mental health conditions affect millions of women.

And yet many mothers still suffer silently.

Some don't know where to turn.

Some are afraid to ask for help.

Some don't realize that what they're experiencing is common and treatable.

Organizations like Postpartum Support International help bridge that gap by providing support, education, and hope when it's needed most.

That's why I am so proud to share that a portion of every purchase from The Always Busy Mama now supports Postpartum Support International.

This isn't a marketing initiative.

It's personal.

Because I know what it feels like to be in a difficult season and wonder if things will ever feel easier.

I know what it feels like to need support.

And I know how life-changing it can be when you receive it.

Every order placed helps us do more than create meaningful jewelry.

It helps support an organization that is making a meaningful difference in the lives of mothers and families every day.

When you shop with The Always Busy Mama, you're not only celebrating your own moments and milestones.

You're helping support other women as they navigate theirs.

For that, I am endlessly grateful.

Because while jewelry may be what brings us together, connection has always been the bigger purpose behind this business.

And if sharing my story helps even one mother feel less alone, then every part of that journey has been worth it.

You Are Never Alone

If you or someone you love is struggling with postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, or other perinatal mental health challenges, help is available.

Postpartum Support International provides resources, education, and support for families around the world.

And sometimes, the bravest thing we can do is ask for help.
