There was a time when I thought jewelry was simply the finishing touch to an outfit. It was something pretty that matched my clothes, something I grabbed on my way out the door without giving it much thought. Like so many things in life, it was just part of my routine.

Then life got busy.

Not just "I have a lot on my calendar" busy, but the kind of busy that comes with building a career, raising kids, trying to be a good wife, keeping up with the laundry, remembering everyone's schedules, and somehow finding time to chase a dream that often happened after everyone else had gone to bed. Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I realized I wasn't really choosing jewelry anymore—I was just putting it on. And if I'm being completely honest, there were plenty of days when I wasn't even doing that.

It wasn't because I stopped loving jewelry. It was because, somewhere along the way, I had stopped thinking about myself.

I have a feeling you know exactly what I mean.

As women, and especially as moms, we're incredibly good at showing up for everyone else. We know our kids' favorite snacks, our spouse's schedule, the next doctor's appointment, the school spirit days, and what needs to be picked up from Target on the way home. We carry so much of the mental load that it's easy to go days—or even weeks—without asking ourselves one simple question: What do I need right now?

That's really where my love of gemstones began.

Not because I believe a gemstone has magical powers or because I think wearing one is going to suddenly erase stress, fix anxiety, or make life easier. Life doesn't work that way. But I do believe in the power of intention. I believe that sometimes we all need something tangible to pull us back to ourselves, especially on the days when life feels like it's pulling us in every other direction.

When I reach for Aquamarine before a difficult conversation, it reminds me to slow down, breathe, and speak with confidence. When I wear Rose Quartz during a season where I'm learning to give myself a little more grace, it reminds me that I deserve the same compassion I so freely give to everyone else. On the days when I'm feeling drained or uninspired, I often find myself reaching for Citrine because it encourages me to look for joy instead of waiting for it to find me.

The gemstone isn't doing the work.

I'm still having the conversation. I'm still choosing grace. I'm still deciding to move forward.

The gemstone simply becomes a quiet reminder of the woman I want to be that day.

Over the past few years, I've had hundreds of conversations at markets, permanent jewelry events, and pop-ups. One of the questions I hear most often is, "What gemstone should I wear?" At first, I would immediately recommend a stone. But over time, I realized there wasn't one perfect answer because there isn't one perfect journey.

Now, when someone asks me that question, I almost always respond with one of my own.

"What do you need most right now?"

That one question changes everything.

Because sometimes you're looking for confidence before a big presentation. Sometimes you're navigating a season of change that feels overwhelming. Sometimes you've just become a mom, or maybe your babies aren't babies anymore and you're trying to figure out who you are in this next chapter. Sometimes you're celebrating something beautiful. Sometimes you're quietly carrying something heavy. Every season asks something different of us, and because of that, the gemstone that speaks to you today may not be the same one you'll need six months from now.

That's exactly why I created The Always Busy Mama Gemstone Guide.

I wanted to create something that felt less like a crystal encyclopedia and more like sitting down with a friend who simply asks, "How are you doing?" Instead of telling you which gemstone you should wear, this guide helps you discover the stones that align with where you are today. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, searching for your birthstone, navigating a new season of motherhood, curious about your zodiac, or simply looking for a meaningful reminder to wear every day, this guide was created to meet you exactly where you are.

My hope is that when you finish reading it, you won't just know more about gemstones. I hope you'll know a little more about yourself. Because that's what meaningful jewelry has always been about for me. It's never been about collecting more things. It's about carrying a reminder of who you are, what you've overcome, and who you're becoming.

If you've ever wondered which gemstone is right for you, I'd love to share this guide with you. Download your free copy, pour yourself a cup of coffee, and spend a few quiet minutes reconnecting with yourself. You might be surprised by the gemstone that finds you—and by what it reminds you of.
